We’re still trying to develop a good way to use PayPal buttons for purchasing chapbooks and Wagtail back issues. It’s a quite a challenge, given that we’ve nearly 200 titles available across both categories. PayPal is a wonderful resource, but it’s not really designed to manage quite so many options, especially since we need to discriminate between domestic (Australian) and overseas orders to cover postage. We accept EFT payment, though:

BSB #802-184, account #73554, account name Picaro Press

If you’d like to place an order and we haven’t a button for it yet, just e-mail us at info@picaropress.com, listing what you’d like, and organise an electronic transfer. Do make sure your name is referenced in the transaction, though, so we can properly credit your payment. Or you might prefer to use our postal order form. Thanks for your patience while we sort through the technical stuff!

N-Art Box
The Art Box Series

The Art Box Series aims to keep Australia’s best, most influential poetry in print, and within reach of a modest budget. Chris Wallace-Crabb is the Series Editor — his judgment in choosing which volumes to revive and sustain is priceless. These books cost just $15 each, inclusive of postage within Australia. The series is expanding rapidly — we’re adding contributions from R. A. Simpson and the redoubtable J. S. Harry, and many more are planned. Support Australia’s best by purchasing your favourites today. Each of these titles is classic — you may be surprised, but you won’t be disappointed.

Picaro Press Aegis Series
Athena Enkelados-1
Too many exciting new poetry titles disappear as soon as the first printing sells through. Given the economics of doing a second print run, that’s understandable ... but it’s also very unfortunate for both poet and readers. Picaro Press aims to address the problem through print-on-demand. The objective of our Aegis Series is to keep these good books in circulation long enough to make their mark. We hope to expand this line over the next few years. Try one! We can almost guarantee you’ll be impressed.

little bit long time, Ali Cobby Eckermann

Andrew Burke, Mother Waits for Father Late

Stephen Edgar, Lost in the Foreground

Picaro Press New Work

N-NWPicaro Press is very keen to support quality new work, from both established and emerging voices. In cooperation with the Varuna - The Writers House, we bring out several new volumes each year as part of their Publisher Fellowship Program. We’re very proud of what we’ve produced so far. Again, we aim to keep costs reasonable, though we like to think that the quality of our books is special. The text of all titles (bar one) in the Picaro New Work Series are printed on 100% recycled, carbon-neutral paper. Try one, and we like to think you’ll try more. In rough order of publication, our New Work titles are listed below.

The Post-Man Letters
